Dave, any idea when Ventnor freeview will be working again, I have not missed an episode of Casualty for 217 years, therefore have little or no intention of starting now, also first MOTD of new season, list is endless.

Dave: In case you were unaware, everyone on this site has the same information as you, namely the R+T reports <img src="http://img4.pseph.co.uk/cache/www.ukfree.tv/xico/www.radioandtvhelp.co.uk.png" class="xico" style="vertical-align:text-bottom" alt="www.radioandtvhelp.co.uk link icon"> link iconRadio & Television Service - in fact, if you are tuned in to the Ventnor relay you will be the first person to notice the channels coming back!

Also, since you have the internet, you should be able to either watch BBC1 live online or later on the iPlayer...

Ventnor blog have managed to find out from the BBC-that a mains power failure at Ventnor transmitter has caused the loss of reception for 5000 homes in the area-they are working to rectify the problem-well after 9 hours-I really hope nthey are successful VERY soon !!!
