Same here but if you are just after BBC/ITV etc you should still be able to get them on analogue. It is only the digital signal that is affected.

As I mentioned previously report it to Digital UK - the more people that complain hopefully the quicker it will get fixed - only problem being they now closed til Monday morning - prob wont be fixed before then! I phoned 930am this morn.

Catshill again. Is the transmitter made in this country if so we are stuffed, perhaps a piece of rolls royce engine hit it. A lack of information particularly for the elderly people who have probably no idea why they can't watch x factor and will call in the ariel engineers on monday who will charge them an arm and a leg for nothing. Nice one Nicky thanks for the number

Perhaps the powers that be can't hear us on account od them sticking their heads in the sand!

No reported problems? What planet are they on? I hope everyone's going to do as I do and write to local press an maybe MP. This simply isn't good enough.

I believe they have completed the work and it has been decided it is so fantastic they should have a grand opening ceremony on Monday and in readiness they have covered the transmitter with red ribbon.Until they cut that ribbon we will not have reception.

I am in Catshill too, no digital channels at all, it is just not good enough, even no warning that there may be a problem, I have retuned my TV about 10 times to no avail, I also spoke to my neighbours who have similar problems, as thought it may be my TV, but no, Not sure who to contact, does anybody have a suggestion?
Lynne

So engineering work on the Bromsgrove transmitter has been completed. Great, so why can't we get Multiplex 2 and C; we live at Lickey End in direct line of sight of the transmitter - we shouldn't have a problem. We have no signal strength whatsoever on these 2 muxes. Come on, this is unacceptable. Is this going to be the situation until analogue switch off next April. It is totally unacceptable. Give us a refund on our licence fee or come and fit a new aerial. Why should we pay for a new installation which will be redundant by April 2011. FOR GOODNESS' SAKE, GET THIS PROBLEM SORTED OUT, NOW !!!!!!!!

We have been told my Spain's TV and electrical shop that the relay station at Dodford has been worked on but the Sutton Coldfield transmitter which sends the signal is also being worked on so we are getting double whammey weak signals.

Just tried that phone number but none of their advisors are available. I wonder why. We have a new digital ariel which we had fitted 18 months ago and that has not stopped us getting all these problems.

Same frustrating situation in Lowes Hill. Spent hours on phone to BT vision thinking it was their fault!Went to scan process & only achieved minimal channels, no ITV. Rescanned next day & found 51 channels but still no ITV. Absolute pain in the ****. Thanks to all above for putting me out of my misery now I know it's not just me. A flyer telling us what was happening would have been a good idea! Thanks also to all for contact email addresses & phone numbers...will definitely add my comments to those that have already been sent. Will have to watch XFactor on IPlayer!!

I live in Droitwich and have the same problem. no TV signal at all Thursay 4:10pm-aprox 5.30pm. Retuned and got good old BBC but no ITV channels or 4 or 5 or numerous others. V.irritated. Neighbour can get a dodgy picture on ITV via analogue. We have a digital TV with built in freeview so can not get analogue. Also hate ITV i-player -it is pants to used compared to BBC i-player and freezes regularly but looks like we are going to have to watch 'x-factor' and 'Downton' that way. Will not be impressed if they don't fix the problem before switchover, ITV usually has some good Christmas stuff on! Will be ringing that number to complain on Monday and just about to complain by email to ITV.com. Arggggg!

Only getting 10 tv channels (bbc1/2/3 cbbc, viva etc) & some radio since thursday. Have been contmeplating Sky or Freesat. Freeview was great when we first got it about 5 years ago, last 18 months has been rubbish, rarely getting decent pictures on all channels. Worls cup on BBC was useless unless watching on red button.

As many other people in Bromsgrove we have strongly restricted signal since Friday 5th November. No ITV, Channel 4, E4 etc. Why do adult channels have priority to those?
It is outrageous that the top of this page says "no reported problems". Who is responsible for this mess? It is more than 48 hours and nobody seems to care.

Well Mr/Mrs Transmitter engineer, my nearly five year old arrived has offered on mine/his weekend to go and fix the problem. He arrives in the living room with coat, wellies and toolbox, after I explained to him why there was no Cbeebies or CITV, saying "you can fix everything, cone on let's go." Aren't kids just great. But seriously some info on the nature of the problem and possible ETA on a fix would be good.

Willow Road, Bromsgrove - very stuttery TV, BBC channels only since Thursday. Could the people that claim the transmitter has no problems please give us an address to send an invoice for 3 days worth of TV license? After all, us license payers are paying for something we're not getting - not acceptable.

Aston Fields - Just called the 08456 50 50 50. A total waste of time, they just say the transmitter is working normally. When I said clearly this is not the case, due to the 3 pages of comments, they just said contact the people who run the local transmitter - but they didn't know who they were, or have any contact details - GREAT!! Please post if anyone gets a sensible response!

Stoke Heath. I've just spoken to Digital UK (08456 505050) and they seemed clueless. They did say however that work was done on the Bromsgrove transmitter on Thursday/Friday last week. I suspect that this is the source of the problem. I can only get BBC 1 and 2 and some shopping channels since Friday.

Arqiva are aware now, as are the BBC, so engineers are on the way to the site. Apparently the automatic fault reporting on site seems to have been affected too, which is why the problem wasn't sorted quickly.

Alex
Monday 8 November 2010 12:07PM
The 'no reported faults' message refers to data fed to these website systems automatically, not to phone calls from the public. There are so many transmitters nationally that occasionally, a fault slips through.

On this occasion, either the fault has not triggered the system or the fault reporting system has fallen over (as well as whatever is causing the transmission fault).

As I said, engineers are on the way (they might even be there by now) so you can still watch online until it's fixed.
Gareth
Monday 8 November 2010 12:25PM
Just spoken to Digital UK they suggested that the Transmitter may be outputting at too higher level to pick up the channels and an attenuator may help - I'm not going to change anything yet though ...
Very frustrating weekend !
