There are some problems at Bilsdale at present but the engineers cannot access the site due to snow (and yes, they're in a 4x4!). They'll sort it out as soon as they can get there. :) .

Thanks steve. I moved the aerial higher towards the top of the loft space and it seems to have sorted the problem, I guess it needed the height to recieve those lower power signals. Thanks again for the help and advice steve and briantist.

can anyone help ive got a loft aerial with a booster fitted to it im receiving the bbc channels at 10 out of 10 no problems but the itv ch4 ch5 e4 etc are coming through at about 4 out of 10 and sometimes dipping lower and breaking up any ideas? also why does the bilsdale site always say possible weak signal for digital tv is it ever running normal? cheers steve
Briantist
Monday 13 December 2010 8:46AM
Steve: I would start by getting rid of the booster.

If that doesn't work, you need to move the aerial to the roof from the loft, where a line-of-sight to the transmitter will provide a stable digital signals.

Gavin : try taking your amplifier out & just run the Aerial to your main point to see if this works. If it does your amplifier may have too much gain, too much signal is as bad as not having enough.
