Scott: This particular equipment is a Humax HDR-FOX T2 PVR. I also have a Sony TV and 'heritage' Thomson decoder box in my kitchen. They all work differently.

Im in EH30 9RZ and cannot get any freeview channels yest or today, just get blue screen with 'NO SIGNAL' this is on both main tv set and bedroom set. Can still get SKY on main TV (thankfully). Have checked aerial cables etc, does not appear to be a problem. We are served by a communal aerial. Is anyone else in area having similar problem?

Samantha,South side of Glasgow. We can certainly be of valuable help to you if you leave preferably a full postcode to ascertain the reception possibilities at your location, whether yer served from either from the main Black Hill main transmitter if yer aerial is horizontally polarised or whether yer served from a nearby relay mast denoting a vertical polarised aerial as such.

I live in the G13 area and have a communal aerial. My Humax Fox T2 PVR gives excellent reception on all channels all of the time EXCEPT on the HD channels which are either weak or no signal at all. I already use a plug-in aerial signal booster to help the HD issue. Without this booster there is NO HD reception at all.

Would I benefit from a stronger aerial signal booster, do I need to think of purchasing my own personal aerial or is there some other (tuning?) remedy to sort this issue?

I would be grateful for your input.
Thanks
John

Just returned home from working away. My two Humax HD boxes can now no longer play SD or HD channels. The picture is continually interrupted and unusable. I use indoor ariels.
The signal strength is good, the quality is up and down not steady. Has the signal changed with the Olympics and the creation of new HD channels in the last few days.

Since the end of the olympics my Humax PVR 9200T will not record any programs at all. Timings are set up as usual but ignored. Has anybody else had this problem? Is it related to the inactive channel 302 or some other transmitter problem which happened earlier with an extra duplicate radio station. Once that was removed by the engineers all ws fine.

Is there problems with signal in paisley as none of our freeviee boxes have signals?

richard mcneill: No problems reported on Digital UK or the BBC website - if all of your boxes are having problems I would check with your neighbours, and if they are ok then it's likely to be a problem with your aerial or connections.

My postcode is g69 8fg. I have very poor reception from com4 634.2MHz. Is there a reason for this? All other channels are ok. I have tried manual retuning.

d kaye: How is the feed from the aerial split to the different rooms?

If it is a power splitter (distribution amplifier) then this could point to it being at fault.
