Notes

'Out of group' frequencies are marked with a star. Analogue power output 12 Watts, post switchover average digital multiplex output will be 6 Watts.

To receive signals from this transmitter, the aerial must be mounted for vertical polarization - the elements going from top to bottom.

Before switchover, the public service broadcasting multiplexes were 1, 2 and B; afterwards they were first PSB1, 2 and 3 but now called BBCA, D3+4 and BBCB. The commercial multiplexes A, C and D had initial post-switchover names COM4, 5 and 6; now they are SDN, ArqA and ArqB. At switchover BBCA, ArqA and ArqB will switch from 16QAM to 64QAM mode transmission, so five multiplexes will transmit in the 64QAM (2/3) 8k mode. BBCB is used for Freeview HD (DVB-T2, 256QAM), and has a pre-switchover service on selected main transmitters.

After switchover an existing group E aerial will provide all digital TV services.

Why is the sound slightly out of sync on my freeview DTV? I have done a complete re-tune, and it is no better. (map)

I live within direct eye-sight of the Sidmouth relay transmitter, (about 2km). I am using a Humax Freeview box T9300 (with the original directional aerial). I have no signal interference on any channels except ALL BBC CH52 transmiissions. After nightfall its perfect, but on sunny days, and particularly between 1300-1400 hrs, I have frequent interupption and "NO OR BAD SIGNAL". System signal shows Aerial strength 100% and Quality 100% - then suddenly either or both signals will drop out. The signal can be interuppted on sunny mornings after 8 am or during the afternoon, but lunchtimes are the worst. Any suggestions to cure this interruption, please?

Could be some kind of local interference, can you try a more high gain grouped aerial if not in use, as high as possible to "see" over any other aerials obstructions etc. Are there any Taxi, Police, Fire, Ambulance or Coastguard radio masts or aerials near you? all can cause problems with TV.

try using a 20db variable attenuator 0-20db pluged in to the rear of the Humax .. turn fully down all the way so your signal goes down ..try and get the signal to be about 70% - 75%

Have been having quite a lot of problems with Sidmouth relay this past week - mornings in particular, no signal at all on occasion. Can't seem to find out any info about this problem. Is there a helpline? (map)
