The problem is when I search for channels , it picks up about 70 , but missing is ITV1/3 and ITV 4, I did have them on the recorder at one time , also for a short time on the tv , but no matter how I try cannot get them now .
any suggestions
Fred Hi Steve
i use mendip, read more of the info on the problem, have found that it seems to be my VCR/DVD recorder that is the problem, when I switch it off , all is well with the TV , but I cannot get the the lost channeles on the vcr, I presume the tv is causing the problem in that case, but how do I reset the frequencies on the vcr , so it will not clash
fred Hi Brian
My my vcr/combi is Panasonic EZR48 in the set up cannot find anywhere to alter the rf, it is all a bit frustrating at times
Thanks Fred If anyone had the same problem with missing channels, and a conflict between Freeview TV add Freeview VCR, I tried always as you can see from previous messages.
Today I may have solved the problem, I had the vcr connected to the tv via Scart and HDMi cable .
I discvered that If I disconnect the HDMi cable the problem is solved, no channels lost on either the tv or vcr.
hope this helps, and thanks to all who suggested various ways to solve the problem.

I need to copy a HD documentary I recorded on my Humax Freesat box, I have a 4GB pen drive that is not large enough, what size will the hour long program in HD be ?, I have a spare portable hard drive with my HP PC , but Humax box say it needs formatting and does not recognize it , so how do I format it .
thanks Fred I seem to be having the same problem as other viewers, just recently I have been loosing channels , first ITV ones , then BBC , just goes off leaves message program not tuned, but will come back again after a while.
I live ion Cirencester , and tuned to the mendip transmitter, do you think this will settle down ?
I am ok as I also have Freesat and also Sky freeview, am covered all round. but is a bit annoying when setting a program to record on the freeview DVD recorder , and transmission failes, so you get loads of missing sections
Thanks Fred
