I cannot get BBC2 AND ITV1 Analogue
on my television, my aerial is pointing to the Sandy Heath Transmitter and I had
an TV Expert out to my house yesterday
from 1st Rate Digital and he said
that the Sandy Heath Transmitter is broken
No Change today as well, he is coming back next week to check if the
situation has changed
If some Freview Channels are missing, then please retune your Freeview Box or Television,if you still are missing
Frevieew channels
then there are two causes for this
Cause One is the Split NIT Problem
especially if you have a SAGEM Box
The older Boxes and Televisions cannot decode the New NIT Information, which came into force in 30 September 2009 or before then, NIT stands for
Network Information Table
Cause Two is that you do not have an indoor or outdoor aerial that can accept
Wideband signals, all Freeview channels are now Wideband signals, these are
channels 21-68, as Freeview and Analogue television channels share the same frequencies all channels are now Wideband channels until the Analogue channels are
switched-off in your area that is, also there will be more swapping of channels now, during and after DSO (Digital Switchover)
You will have two dates of switchover that all frequenices will change the First One being when BBC2 Analogue will shut down completely and the Second One is when all Analogue channels are switched off for good including Channel Five and Ceefax
I suggest you get ready now and find what the problem is and get it sorted
If you are still missing channels with a new Freeview Box or TV then the matter
is definitely the aerial, you will need to get an aerial installer to swap
your outdoor aerial for a new Wideband one
Also in 2013 there will be another
National Retune day when all channels will move to their permanent places
I hope this helps
please contact me by E - Mail for more help or see the Digital UK Website www.digitaluk.co.uk or the

If you need to contact me please send
all E - Mails to ----

Where I will be available to help you I know a very good company here in the Cambridge area called First Rate Digital,
I had a lot of work done with them and they are very very good
There are based in Wellingborough
near Northampton, I could give you their details if you want they do Satellite Dishes and TV and Radio Aerials as well,
I had all three done, because I did not have anything in my new flat, they also do multiroom for all services as well,
which includes Spliters and Cabling, etc I know a National firm that does Aerial Installations they are called Aerialforce,
I am afraid,
I do not know if they are any good I have just received an E - Mail
from Peter Monteith who works for Digital UK and he is the Manager
for the Anglia TV Region, in his E - Mail
he stated that the Digital Switchover
is between 30 March 2011 and 13 April 2011,
meaning that Analogue BBC Two
will switch off on the 30 March 2011
and the rest of the Analogue channels
will go/turned off on the 13 April 2011
For more details, please all rush over to www.digitaluk.co.uk/anglia For more information about the new date for the Digital Switchover for the Sandy Heath Transmitter please all rush over to the Digital UK Website www.digitaluk.co.uk/anglia
Also see the Planned Engineering Page
on the Digital UK Website www.digitaluk.co.uk
And further information about the Digital Switchover for the Sandy Heath Transmitter please all rush over to www.digitaluk.co.uk
and click at the top where it says Press Office at the top of the page and then scroll and click where it says Press Releases
and then click on The Countdown for the East of England Begins at the top of the page,
for the page to open you will need to download Adobe Acrobat Reader program first from www.adobe.com
and you can then print and save this page and attach them to your E - Mails, etc, etc and you can do what you like with it, I will now send it off to all my Family
Apart from the above I have no Further News
I have just received this E - Mail from Digital UK, you can watch the launch to the Countdown of the Sandy Heath Switchover by pasting this in your address bar and clicking enter
No, I am not, only the Breaking News stories will be Posted here, not any other news as I am a Journalist with a Specific intrest in the Digital Switchover and have been since 2004, I thought I kindly share the material given to me by Digital UK, but if you do not want to know then thats fine, but Digital UK and only Digital UK are the forerunners and are the official company behind
the Digital Switchover campaign
and no one else is and I have exclusive contact with them, so I thought that I share my knowledge with you
Another piece of news was that the Launch was yesterday afternoon in Cambridge, just outside the town centre and I have all the Photos and News material as well, I bet you cannot beat it Latest News for Viewers in the Central TV area
Digital UK has just released the Switchover dates for the Central TV Area
Please all rush to www.digitaluk.co.uk/ and click on the Central TV tap at the top where it says When Do I Switch Sandy Heath and Nottingham Switch on the same day on the 13 April 2011 No, you do not need a viewing card
for Channel 4, also you will not
be able to watch Yesterday,Sky News,
Sky 3, Virgin 1, etc without Freeview
or a subscription to Sky or Virgin
You can plug the Satellite Dish,
to the back of the TV and receive
the 140 channels available,
plus BBC HD and ITV HD
I hope this helps
Also, I am doing a survey on
what services people have in their homes
and if the have both Sky and Virgin,
how many of you have both,
or an I the only one to have both? There is only one LNB socket at the back
of TV sets, so you cannot record on them
and one on the back
of Sky/Freesat/Freesat HD boxes
and two on the back
of Sky+/Sky HD/Freesat+ boxes
I hope this helps
Also, do you have both Sky and Virgin boxes
in your house,
or am I the only one to have both? I can get Analogue Teletext
through(via)Sky only, but not through
Freeview, Freesat or Virgin,
or bizarrely through Sky HD Boxes,
it must be the Boxes themselves
that they choose to or not to pass the signal
across to the television set and screen Yes, you can through Scart or HDMI Cables
and by pressing the AV/HDMI button
on your DVD/VCR Recorder 13 April 2011 to be exact The Anglia TV Region Roadshow Dates
have now been announced
Take a look at this Link

ITV 4 +1Thursday 20 January 2011 9:13PM
Why can't ITV and Sky put it
on Channel Number 181 next to ITV3+1,
what is their reason not to?This would mean switching
between Sky and Freesat Boxes, like I do now,
to see all available channels,
it is the same for the Men and Movies channel on Freesat Channel Number 143,
a bit of a hasssle I know,
but we have to do it
For recording the ITV4+ channel
and/or the Men and Movies channel,
would mean those of you who do not have both a Sky+/Sky HD Box and a Freesat+ Box,
means that it is necessary
to purchase/buy both, it just more expense,
as I do not think you can record from
the list of "Add Channels" in the Sky EPG Yes, I have also encounted bad service in Curry's and Comet Stores,
as well as in a Best Buy Store in London
including no demonstrations of some products
I did manage to have a demonstration
on a Freesat Box and a Sky HD Box I do not think so,

59 minutes agoFather in laws given me a Sky Free Sat box n card. I use Virgin cable downstairs, and an old Sacem freeview in the bedroom.
Can I use the old SKY satellite dish and cable with the Sky FreeSat box?
Many thanks1 post
Yes Why the Men and Movies channel not listed anywhere? You forgot that on the 23 November 2011,
Sandy Heath carries out one of many Re-Tune Events on this date
A Re-Tune is required to carry on watching TV Yes, I thing that you should add the Saorview Transmitters in Ireland, it would be useful for people living in Ireland J
ITV 4 +1Wednesday 29 February 2012 9:29PM
I think ITV4+ should be on Channel 181In this day and age after DSO1 we need more Muxes not less, all TVs currently sold are not compatible with the new MPEG4 H2.65 HVEC Standard, so either we buy a box/PVR that is or we have to buy completely new TV sets
Is this the new future where we buy replacements every one or two years, think about the environment and our money that we will be spending both require huge amounts of money and time? Viewers in North and West Kent who use Dover and Bluebell Hill "full Freeview" transmitters (and about 16 smaller relay transmitters) will have no analogue television from Wednesday 13th June2012. Unless you use cable or satellite to watch television, if you don't use a Freeview box or set, your screen will be blank.
The date here is wrong it should be Wednesday 27th June 2012 and NOT Wednesday 13 June 2012
