Thanks for the info, hope recpetion is good enough !

Will BBC 2 go off the same time as Rowridge ?
Rowridge (Isle Of Wight, England) Full-Freeview transmitter

Why has Rowridge swicthed to Vertical polarization on analogue ?
Rowridge (Isle Of Wight, England) Full-Freeview transmitter
Wednesday 29 February 2012 1:35PM Brighton
Seems I was wrong about this, my rotator has gone out of alighment, so west is not west at the moment etc !
Very interesting Patcham went a few secs before Rowridge !
BBC 2 gone at 0.08:07 this is 12 seconds AFTER my local relay though !
Hmm video is private with me, 12 sec delay wih me betweeen my relay and Rowridge, did'nt expect that...
Kay you have to do a re-scan but not until at least 6am !
so much want waterloo road: I Suggest you try and get a replacement remote firat if you can ?

What tv make and model do you have and what transmitter do you use if you know ?

I doubt you can tune on the tv controls if it's a a quite modern set though
Oh how strange, I get this when I have not used my DVD reocrder's remote for a week or so... if you just 'roll' the batteries while in the remote with your thumb the remote will work again I notice

you will have to wait until 2 weeks today 21st March for the 2nd stage of digiatl switchover though

Re lost of BBC 1 and 2 Did you do a re-scan ?
jb38 yes of course I realize but thanks !
Is there any usual order for the remaining analogue channels to go off air or not anyone know ?
jb38: jb38 I was just stating the obvious maybe but it may be of some use perhaps...
jay take it easy, just wait a bit longer until March 21st and you will have a 100% full power and reliable digital service I am sure
Twas atually 7th March 8 mins after midnight :)

I'm wondering during tropo lifts how the Caen (France) transmitter will be affected as they share chs 22, 25 and 28 I notice
Well my little 3.5 inch freeview tv is useless for portable reception unlike my analogue equivelent, oh well !
ralph keemar: I am afraid it will happen now and then but not always as bad as it has been the last few days. Always good to have a back up way of watching tv when it does like freesat or online etc
I am told analogue Channel 5 went off air early yesterday is this correct ? If so does anyone know why ?
I presume the lower power of 50kw is also because of Caen using the same channels with 100kw H ?
Hmm could this ever change in time though. What about the new mux's in the future also, there is talk about capacity for any extra 35 HD channels even in the years to come

I wonder if other countries have the same type of freeview light service from relays...
Dave Lindsay yes or Rowridge with me, just waiting until Apil 18th to see how good the final siganls are here
b38 Yes I have freesat but there are at least 6 channels on Freeview which do not show on freesat, I want it all :)
Is BBC 2 on low power now until switch off just after midnight ? I get the other 3 channels here in Brighton but not Ch 33
Is anyone watching from Patcham I wonder ? I can't imagine many if any really being just a basic 'lite' service

Not a very punchy signal either compared to analogue :(
Another totally pointless channel espcially in the PVR / on-demand age, more HD channels would be better
I am sure that in the future something like tvcatchup will be available on youview, give it time the box is not even on the market yet
Thanks for reply...I personally use IOW all the time now, all 6 mux's boom in with just an antenna in the loft
So slots for another 16 HD channels, when can we expect these though I wonder ?

I thougth I read on here once there is potential capacity for up to 35 HD channels ?

Certainly need 5 HD and the other ITV HD channels at least..

GB
I just want Channel 5 HD, we have to wait until 2014 for it then ?
GB
Well there is meant to be space now even for 20 HD channels apparently from 101 - 120 one reason for the recent re-shuffle of channels

GB
AS for Channel 5 HD the goverment should force them to be on freeview as it's one of the main 5 channels
GB
>> At present HD quality is not as good on Freeview as on Sky and Freesat will the HD quality improve with these new HD stations on Freeview?

This is nonsense, the Freeview HD quality is as good if not better with me than freesat, you do need a minimum of a 42 inch TV to show this off really though
GB
Has to Channel 5 HD surely ? Main 5th chasnnel and all that

Rowridge (Isle Of Wight, England) Full-Freeview transmitter
Thursday 21 February 2013 5:22PM Brighton
I live in Brighton but use Rowridge, I have lost Chs 25 and 28 for some weeks now. Are they are on reduced power I wonder ?
