Film 4

Hi.

I randomly lost channel 4 the other day off my freeview (in the middle of an episode of Big Bang Theory). I ignored it but retuned the next day when it hadn't reappeared on its own.

It came back but I've now lost Film 4, ITV4 and 4Music. I may be missing more, but those are the ones I watch. The weird thing is that the TV downstairs and the one in the room next door have both been retuned today with no problem, but I can't get my Film 4 back. Does anyone know what might be the problem? I'm in Nottingham.

Biratist:

I tried that, and left it completely disconnected for about 12 hours. It still remembered its settings.

I went through and manually deleted every channel it had tuned in, and then scanned again, and I'm still missing the same channels. :(

Any other ideas? :)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one this has happened to as I was beginning to wonder if I have a jinxed set or something.

What is MOST confusing to me though, is that in the house we have three TVs all with built-in freeview. All have been retuned in the past week, and only mine has lost any channels. I can't work out what's going on and I'm upset because film 4 was one that I actually watch a lot because I love films and they show some good ones.

Okay here's an issue that's very confusing. :-)

We bought a new Freeview+ recorder and connected it to the TV (which has built in freeview). Tuned it in and all was good.

Then we turned it off (not mains-off, just the regular standby 'still-shows-the-clock' off). Half the freeview channels on the TV disappeared. This is the TV that was working fine before we connected the FV+, and works fine with aerial plugged directly into it.

Why does the box appear to be stealing the signal when not powered up? The TV has freeview built in. I shouldn't need to have my box turned on to be able to watch what the TV is capable of receving on its own.
