1. Plugged telly direct to wall socket and the first few AutoScans found 103 channels including the HD ones but the HD breaking easily and unwatchable (50,51 etc)

2. Plugged in a signal booster and all of a sudden HD came to life with good signal strength and quality for at least 3 days. Also improved the SD channels strength and quality.

3. Moved the booster (by mistake) lost all HD and some SD channels.

4. Re-scanned Auto and Manual (with booster plugged in) only 66 channels coming in no HD channels not even the channel number.

5. Unplugged the booster - telly now back to wall socket only - auto re-scanned, 103 channels reappear including the HD ones this time holding a constant picture allbeit mid signal strength and low-mid signal quality.

For how long the HD will hold who knows but that's a day or so now.

Can I improve/check the quality of the coaxial cable/sockets? probably :) or try the signal booster again? or try an internal high gain aerial (I have since heard these can be more trouble than they are worth likewise the boosters)

any advice would be appreciated.
