I would like to know the cost of placing adverts on a site for holiday accommodation.per page
The last week I`ve not been able to read the football news on Sky´s text, pages 200 -309.
When will these pages return ?
P.S. I miss those pages very much!

Re: jill kitchker 24 January
I too have the same problem. I use Freeview. My system has worked well but in the past week I've tried to 'turn-on' teletext on Sky channels 11 and 44. I get a message to say that I should switch to channel 108 to get teletext on Sky. When channel 108 appears it tells me that Channel 108 has changed frequency and I should re-scan. I do this and I still get the same results ... no text on Sky channelsFredSaturday 5 February 2011 4:23PM
Thanks Briantist, I've tried this previously though on your advice I've tried it again.
I am still unable to get any Sky text.
When I go to Channel 108 It tells me that frequencies have been changed and I need to re-scan.
Are you able to verify that Channel 108 gives you text on your reciever?
Thanks
Fred

Thanks again for your response.
I guess I'll just have to keep trying. Is it possible that it's a problem at the transmitter(Mendip)? Signal stength at my address? .... although I appear to get everything else satisfactorily.FredMonday 7 February 2011 2:14PM
Yes, fine. I receive all of these channels satisfactorilyFredMonday 7 February 2011 2:39PM
Yes, I don't appear to have any other problems.
I did, up until about two weeks ago, get Text on Sky channels 11, 82. When this service 'ceased' I got the message to tune to Channel 108 which I did where I get a message that Channel 108 frequency has changed and I should re-scan.
I've tried this several times but still get the same message.FredMonday 7 February 2011 2:41PM
P.S. I have two set-up's in my home. One with a built in tuner and another with separate digi-box. The same 'fault' is on both installations.FredMonday 7 February 2011 3:19PM
Yes .... and I've just done it again with the same result. No Sky text ... just a message that I need to re-scan.Fred: I'm at a bit of a loss for things to try now. FredMonday 7 February 2011 3:40PM
Yes! so am I
Thanks for your offerings.
I'll try to resolve it via others sources. It intriques me!

has anyone else lost 108 sky text since digital swith over in the sandy heath areaMickSunday 17 April 2011 7:00PM
I am having the same problem as Fred with Sky text from Mendip.
Text is not available on any Sky channels, just an on screen notice to go to Channel 108.
I have two different TVs on seperate aerials.
Channel 108 is not recognised after re-tune by either of them.
I have contacted Digital UK who couldn't help, can you suggest anyone who can?MickMonday 18 April 2011 9:15AM
I regularly re-tune the TVs to see if there is any change.
I wonder if there is a contact number for Sky so that I can speak to them directly.kjFriday 6 May 2011 11:50AM
I haven't had access to the internet since i posted my enquiry, thank you all so muchPeter NothardSunday 28 October 2012 10:10AM
I assume that Sky Teletext is dictated and then transcribed via Keyboard. some of this is entered "literally"
eg.Mrs X said left quotation marks I am pleased Right Quotation marks. Should show as:
Mrs X said "I am pleased"Peter Nothard: I expect you are asking about the subtitles?
The subtitles are done for the BBC channels by Red Bee media, and I know they are done by having two people speak what they hear into a computer dictation system.
The outputs are used combined to provide the on-screen subtitles.
Sky presumably use a similar system.
