Dear Pontop Pike
Can I ask why QVC is not transmitting properly at the moment. Both the signal strength and quality on my HUMAX freeview box are very intermittent and as such the signal is lost.sarahThursday 31 March 2011 9:46PM

Sarah: You may be using the Waltham transmitter. Multiplex A, which carries QVC, was moved to a different frequency on Wednesday, to avoid problems when The Wrekin, Lark Stoke and Bromsgrove switch over next Wednesday.
You will need to retune to get this channel back. You should do a 'first time installation' to ensure that the box has no memory of where the channel used to be - see
TV Re-tune for instructions on how to retune your box. Some boxes won't store the new information if they already think they have the channel stored.
If this is the case, you will need to retune again on the 13th to keep ITV1, ITV1 +1, ITV2, Channel 4, Channel 4 +1, More 4, E4 and Channel 5.
You could alternatively be using the Sandy Heath transmitter, in which case you would have had to retune on Wednesday to keep the BBC channels. If you did this before 6am, some services may still have been off. Again, another retune will probably sort it out. (RG47SH) BarryThursday 28 July 2011 2:43PM

Terrance Ferri: Stating your location would have been of assistance as what you mention is totally dependant on your area.
But its not just QVC that's involved as its also ITV3 / CITV / 5USA and everything on that particular multiplex channel "if" its transmitting on lower power than the other multiplexes, as applies in my own particular case with Waltham, one of the two stations I use for reception.

Morpeth I have lost several of my Freeview Channels since yesterday most say "This program is unavailable" The channel numbers are - 10,16,20,23,25,26,27,30,31,38,39,44,49,50,72
I have re-tuned but it has no effect.
My Post Code is NE615BJ - Pontop Pike transmitterSid,: See the comments at the end of the Pontop Pike page. Quite a number of people have experienced this on the logical channel numbers which are all carried on the "SDN" (COM4) multiplex. Out of interest, what is the make and model of your receiver? According to reports, this is generally affecting Panasonics. DaveThursday 10 January 2013 2:25PM
Pontop's Ch50 problem now seems to be fixed.
ITV3, Quest etc are viewable again.

Dave:
The problems of yesterday and today (10th) with channel 50 mux on Pontop were not confined to Panasonics. A Sony and a Samsung TV lost reception on 50 at my location, whilst two Humax PVR's and a Hitachi TV were fine.
The problem may only be partially resolved as the Sony is now OK whereas the Samsung has blocky reception on 50. The Samsung operates on an old loft aerial, giving satisfactory reception since changeover. I am now going to replace it. SarahSunday 12 May 2013 7:08PM
