Oldham Hi I'm at ol3 7ny and can receive Smooth radio (north west) on 100.4 FM with a perfect signal in my car outside my house with RDS stereo etc. but when i use my portable radio inside my house on the same frequency the signal is very weak - is this something to do with the aerial on my car being stronger than my telescopic aerial inside? Harry: It could just be the signal being unable to penetrate your house, or a source of interference.
You might want to fit a rooftop FM aerial.
