Ideal World let me down twice
1. I bought a Data Wind Free internet access netbook
when it arrived it failed to 'open', label said made in china & there was a peice of black tape over one of the inlet/scart ports
I had to send it back specail delivery at £8,99, the 0844 no to india costing me 70p
and tehy didnt even reply! they had my money, and despite the Indian saying it would be put into my account they didnt
it took me an awful lot of hassle to get my money & my postage back (not the hrs spent packing, unpacking phoning, writing etc etc) not one single apology from this 3ed rate companyP

The seccond time i was let down was some yrs ago when I bought a memory foam mattress from Ideal World' I got sucked in by the tv (said only one left, website when id bought said 10 left);
The mattress had small tears its surfacein it when it arrived; I phoned 'India' 3 times each time assured a van would be coming to pick it up; wasted £'s in a public call box on their 0844 no (Ideal NEVER EVER reply to their Consumer service emails - why put up an email ad? well, they cant make money by emails but they get a surcharge from every minute queueing on 0844)
No van ever turned up; I became stressed fighting I gave up; on top of that I saw it a third cheaper in my local high street; Ideal World's Customer Care Service does not exist - all they care about is money
Their website crashes; a £5 discount voucher they sent me faiked to load on the PC after 1 hr trying; when the DataWind Netbk arrived, Id not got my £5 off incentive plus the thing was a dud.
Whatever you do, dont waste your time with limp letters or calls to them - they will all be ignored; I use Trading Standards (who hold a list of complaints) & also threaten to write to their Managing Director
