Using Emley Moor transmitter (I'm in Chesterfield), I pick up all on MUX2, but wondered what was up with ITV2+1 as it wasn't available. Then looked on Channel 33, ITV2+1 is shown simply as "ITV" no reference to 2+1 which is strange ... when a program is on, it does show "itv 2+1" in the corner!

Steve Ditchburn: put your postcode into the box at the top right, this will lead you to your transmitter where you can find the appropriate frequency.

On the Freeview website it says ITV1+1 will launch on 11th Jan 2011 using ITV2+1's Mux2 slot. STV and UTV are launching their own timeshifts but this is unconfirmed. That, as a result ITV2+1 will move to Mux A where it'll be a part-time channel between 7pm til' 4am timesharing with CiTV.

SkullKid: Yes, that is correct. I think this will include Wales, as S4C2 has closed freeing up the "CITV slot".

I am sadly disappointed that ITV2+1 now only airs from 7pm. I use it to catch up in an afternoon and will no longer be able to watch my favourite shows, why did this have to change?
Briantist
Wednesday 19 January 2011 11:19AM
Helen: Because ITV wished it to be so. Why not get a Freeview+ box and you can make your own ITV2+1?

how do you make your own itv2+1 channel brian?
Briantist
Wednesday 19 January 2011 3:54PM
lisa: You use a Freeview+ box to record the shows on ITV2 you want to watch later.

I'm very disappointed that ITV2+1 is no longer available. I watched it whilst cooking tea as we have a small telly in the kitchen or to catch up at lunchtime when I'm not working. It was just convenient! Please bring it back!

MA: If you use a Freeview+ box, you can watch ITV2 shows whenever you like.

ITV2+1 is broadcast still during the evening on the full-service Freeview transmitters.

Briantist: We aren't all in a position to rush out and spend money updating products, or purchasing new to compensate for things like this. I wish I were then maybe I could watch my shows again.

can anyone tell me why I keep losing itv 2 +1 when I switch my freeview box off?

Might help if you preform a new search for channels. ITV2+1 is now on Channel 27 for me from Emley Moor transmitter, ITV1+1 is now on Channel 33, which used to be ITV2+1.

If that doesn't help, post what is up and what you've done.

Not impressed that ITV2+1 says programmes start at 7pm. My freeview box won't pick up itv2 at all. BBC3 for me it is then
Briantist
Friday 13 May 2011 2:51PM
Clare: Not much to go on there, really. Are you in Wales.
Mike Dimmick
Friday 13 May 2011 2:55PM
Clare: ITV2 +1 only has half a slot on Mux A/SDN, time-sharing with CITV - in the same way that BBC Three shares a slot with the CBBC Channel.

Have you retuned your box since ITV1 +1 launched in January? ITV reshuffled where each service was carried, and ITV2 is now carried on the same multiplex as ITV1 and ITV1 +1 (multiplex 2/D3&4, which is available from all transmitters).

Briantist: In Wales, E4 is sacrificed from D3&4 to carry S4C. ITV2 is unaffected.

a gill: ITV require specific rights to carry programmes on +1 channels, it would appear that they failed to obtain it for this programme.

My neighbour keeps losing all his channels except BBC1 and BBC2 when he turns his Digital Tv on after having turned it off. The channels re-appear after re-tuning but then disappear once the TV is turned off. any suggestions?
