From Wikipedia: The ITV1 brand was introduced by Carlton and Granada in 2001, alongside the regional identities of their eleven regional companies. However in line with other terrestrial channels, ITV1's audience share has fallen in the era of multi-channel television. ITV existed in a region-heavy form from its inception to the 2000s, although the switch was gradual. - en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org link icon read more about ITV on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Is there a list of tv region by postcode?
Want to search a few rather than just 1 at a time?

There is a list of BBC regions by postcode. However, the site will supply the exact details for each full postcode (ie, all the digits).

All my ITV channels are down. This has happened over the last two weeks as the signal got progressively weaker. Is my freeview box faulty. All BBC channels are fine.

pete Stevens: try the www.ukfree.tv link icon  My Freeview box has no EPG, is missing Film4 or the channel line up is wrong procedure, and if this does not restore the channels, can you tell me your postcode?

I can receive a lot of freeview channels but not ITV (Granada), C4, and 5. WHY NOT???
Briantist
Monday 15 January 2007 11:31AM
Tony: if you are missing multiplexes 2 (ITVs) and A (fives) this will probably be down to not having a rooftop aerial, as the transmission mode ("64QAM mode") these channels use is not compatible with indoor or loft-mounted aerials.

hi i have recently installed freeview in my spare room and also run coaxial cables to the lounge down stairs and my bedroom, i have split it in the attic and attached a booster, where there was an aerial in the attic, when i switched it on i found i couldnt get itv s4c ch.4 ch.5 and a few others without it breaking up.
i have decided to buy a wide band digital class 2 aerial and will be erecting this on the side of the house,
my post code is CF35 6RD. which transmitter should i point it at, the mendips or wenvoe as i understand that wenvoe mast A is having work done on it and they are using wenvoe C. I would really like the english ch4 and ch.5 rather than s4c so much. Wenvoe has a very low signal for itv ch.4 itv3 etc.
But as i dont really live that far away from wenvoe would I be better to point my aerial at wenvoe. There are no hills in the way to either masts. Also is there a compass bearing i can use when turning my aerial to either mast or do i just look at where the neighbour has theirs pointing ?
many thanks, Andrew Scott
Briantist
Tuesday 17 April 2007 8:29AM
andrew scott: as there is only six degrees for you between Wenvoe and Mendip ( www.ukfree.tv link icon Find out how to receive Freeview | ukfree.tv - get free UK television ) you should be able to get both English and Welsh services. If you can, the "other" versions (ITV1 Wales/ITV1 West, BBC One Wales/BBC One West, BBC2W/BBC TWO, C4/S4C/S4C2 also abc1 and a few others) will appear on channel numbers 800-899. You might need a 100-element Class I aerial to get them all reliably.

I have a digital TV and digital recorder receiving Freeview through my aerial. I now find that when recording popular programs from ITV1 I do not get any sound on playback except for the AD system of commentary for the blind and poor sighted. This has only started in the last ten days or so, before that things were perfectly normal. How can I switch off AD

I have a new Panasonic plasma with built in freeview. Last months all channels fine, last 2 weeks ITV1 and CH4 breaking up [pixels or no signal] others are fine. Signa; strenght 10 // signal quality 10 but banner fluctuates from green over orange to red and no signal and back. Cleaned the channels did a rescan, problem stays the same Any idea what might be the cause [btw loft antenna but reception was good from start, problem only last 2 weeks]

Any suggestions?

I have an MCE box and have scanned my channels in and got a good selection on freeview (set the MUXs in registry to fix on local transmitter). My EPG guide has ITV and ITV2 programmes missing although I can watch them ok.

Im picking up from the white hawk transmitter which looks to be low power on several MUXs. Would getting a new aerial improve things as its probably fairly old?

Many thanks...

Help would be appreciated

Since Installing a Digital TV in late 2008 I have been receiving all channels and many of the freeview channels.

However for the past 4days - 1st June 09 onwards, the signal strength for ITV1 and BBC4 started to fade and at present there is currently no signal for these two channels.

I am located at RH20 2LH

Is there a reason for this ?

could anyone please tell the frequency number for Yorkshire TV news(not Tyne Tees)

Thanks
Briantist
Tuesday 21 July 2009 11:50AM
Celia Kerr: The ITV service you get depends on the transmitter you are receiving from. If you want to choose ITV regions you need satellite (Freesat or fSfS) or more than one aerial. Put your postcode into the box at the top right to find out your options.

My postcode is EH526XU. I have very weak signals for ITV1, Channel 4, ITV2, More4, E4 which then leads to these channels disappearing. I have a new aerial. Could this be down to the position of it or is it something else like a sky box interfering?

Thanx
