Hi, I have been searching for CH4 HD on my Freesat Passion+ for ages and have tried everything that is on this blog but to no avail. Can someone point me in the right direction. I have no Eurobird 1 on my channel list and nothing is in the 28.5E range apart from Astra 28.2 but then the settings are not the same so am totally lost as to how to get this new HD channel. Briantist: My Freesat receiver will not pick it up on the "other channels" option, while a generic receiver needs all the ID information, whereas my blind scan receiver picks it up with no problem. NottsUK: This box I have requires all the information to be input. I'm sure you're right, I think the box won't "add" channels already on the "Freesat" list. NottsUKFriday 28 October 2011 8:43AM

Sorry Brian I did not say that I'm on Freesat in post sorry for missing that out, as we are in the present posts talking satellite Ch4.
I have no experience of Freeview HD only SD on that.

We live in S.Wales using Freeview and am really disappointed to find that Channel 4 HD is not available and we have to put up with the Welsh language S4C in HD instead on Channel 53. How can this be fair? Making the majority suffer for the sake of a tiny minority. I would be very interested to know how many watch this Channel in Wales and how much it costs the licence and tax payer!Martin: It does not cost the Licence anything because the Licence goes to the BBC.

it was announced on the 11th july that s4c clirlun would be closing down at the end of the year,due to financial reasons.all things being right,hopefully channel 4 hd should be avaiable in wales next year.updates
