Bonanza Bonanza

Regional content: National channel with no regional content or variations.

From Wikipedia: Lasting 14 seasons and 430 episodes, it ranks as the second longest running western series behind Gunsmoke and still continues to air in syndication, The show centers around the Cartwright family, who live in the area near Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Bonanza was considered an atypical western for its time, as the core of the storylines dealt less about the range but more with Ben and his three dissimilar sons, how they cared for one another, their neighbors, and just causes. Bonanza was a period drama that attempted to confront contemporary social issues. - link icon read more about Bonanza Bonanza on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Why is Local City /Bonanza not available on Sky I can understand Local City being a terrestrial only station in the case of Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield transmitter obviously some chap in Glasgow is hardly interested in Brum - unless he's an away from home sales rep or ex-pat but surely good old Ben, Horse, Adam and Little Joe not to mention A Ling or A Pong the cook should be on ?

Watlingfen: As always, it is up the content provider to make arrangements to rent capacity and gain EPG placement.

Nothing at all links the four distribution systems (satellite, cable, internet, terrestrial).

When will you start showing Whirly-Birds, Cannonball and Hiway Patrol?
I used to watch them as a young child.

Why are there so many repeats on Bonanza Bonanza? For example, it looks like they have only 20 or so episodes of The Lone Ranger and all they do is show them over and over again It has become so boring I can tell what they're going to say before they say it!!!!

Friday 11 April 2014 12:01PM Stourbridge

John Biggles: The reason for this is because it is just a temporary channel to raise advertising revenue till the local tv channel gets launched. ON the local tv multiplex there are just two channel slots, and when the local tv channel goes on air, the other slot will go to the ABC shopping channel it's reported.

A Blues-Rock Benefit for Walter Trout at Shepherds Bush Empire

The international blues rock community comes together on Sunday 4 May to present a special benefit show in London for the blues-rock legend Walter Trout who is awaiting a liver transplant.

This special show features Roger Chapman, Otis Grand, Bernie Marsden, Ian Parker, Kim Simmons, Danny Bryant, Stevie Smith, Marcus Malone, Mitch Laddie, Lawrence Jones, and others to be announced along with The Flamingo Club All Stars House band featuring John O'Leary and Alan Glenn. Proceeds will go to towards the ailing icon's emergency liver transplant fund and his subsequent recuperation.

The goal of the evening is to pull together some great blues-rock musicians to help raise money and awareness of Walter Trout's current predicament. This year marked the 25th anniversary of his solo career, but he is currently fighting for his life. It is hoped that the event at Shepherds Bush will be well supported by musicians and fans alike as everyone in the music community come together to show their love for Walter and to help raise monies for himself and his Family.

Walter Trout recently confirmed the release of his new CD entitled -The Blues Came Callin'- which will be launched as planned on June 2 despite his continuing health issues.

Tickets are selling steadily for the benefit concert at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on May 4th, to aid American blues star Walter Trout and help fund a life-saving liver transplant.

The UK blues community has banded together to raise cash for the much loved guitar star, and NEWS JUST IN confirms that Walter's eldest son JON TROUT is flying to the UK to attend and play at the event. Jon Trout like his Father is a very talented performer and his presence there will mean so much to everyone.

A number of artists have been added to the bill since the initial Press Release was issued including vocalist Paul Cox, American Blues guitarist Marcus Malone; guitarist/singer Cherry Lee Mewis, guitarist Del Bromham and from Scandinavia Christina Skjolberg. Everybody is donating their time for free - since the initial announcement of the event rumours are rife as to the identity of possible last minute "surprise guests."

The gig on Sunday 4th May (May Day Bank Holiday weekend,) will see doors open at 6.45pm and kick off at 7.15pm and continue to 11.00pm.

Walter Trout should be out there this year celebrating his 25th year in blues music, and the release of his new album "The Blues Came Callin." It will be released on June 2 at his request, despite his continuing health issues. There is also an auto-biography and a documentary about his life and career in the works.

Doors 6.45pm. Tickets £17.50 advance £20.00 on the door
