I'm an american, i very much enjoy your televison shows and i was just wondering if there is any way i can view your programming??Coral: Not officially. Unofficially, you can use the iPlayer download service outside the UK, but you need to use a UK-based proxy server to get the 'licence' information.
Many BBC Three programmes are carried on BBC America. Gale TowerSunday 29 November 2009 11:00PM
Why is BBc1 & BBC2 coming through as WALES,have to use 800 to get NORTHWEST?
Also BBC3 & BBC4 give a very poor reception, are they from WALES too now?
When can all this be corrected,if ever?Gale Tower: There is nothing to "correct", this is the way your box is supposed to operate. KMJ DerbyMonday 30 November 2009 10:28AM
Gail Tower:When your box does a scan it stores the first set of BBC channels that it finds in the normal slots in the channel list, then if any regional variations are found these are stored in the 800's.To get BBC NW in the required slots do a ascan with the aerial unplugged to clear the channel list then do a manual store of the Winter Hill frequencies. From Wednesday 2nd December these will be c62,c59,c58,c61,c55 and if you are within range c57 for the MEN mux.If manual storage is not possible, assuming Moel-y-Parc is the unwanted signal, you will have to start a second scan with the aerial unplugged, then plug it back in just over half way through the scan when if the timing is right you will have missed out the BBC Wales channels. If it is Storeton Wales though on c57 itwould be very fiddly to try and miss it out during the scan.In this case if the signal is weaker than the required Winter Hill signal temporary insertion of an attenuator for the duration of the scan would reduce the signal levels so that the weakest were not found.PeteSunday 10 January 2010 11:36PM
Is it really necessary to have a ghastly PINK logo ruining the new series of Being Human. To cap it all we now have to be told it's a "NEW" series by having the word "NEW" below the PINK logo, this despite three weeks of trailers. How did we ever manage to watch un-mauled with programmes on analogue without this mindless DOGness. The BBC now must consider its average audience to have an IQ which equates to the current outside temperature (in degress C). At least the i-player has a less obtrusive logo, so that's where I'll be watching this series in future. Can I have a refund on my licence fee please. If they keep this up I'll be ditching my TV altogether and watching all programmes on the i-player for FREE !! Roll on the logo free repeats on BBC ONE !! StewartWednesday 6 April 2011 7:54PM
Wolverhampton How about giving direct information for once in a lifetime. I want channel numbers to retune manually. In plain English i want the UHF numbers per channel.
Why should i have to request this in the first place?Mike DimmickThursday 7 April 2011 7:40AM
Stewart: The information is on the individual pages for each transmitter, and also on
TV Re-tune and on Digital UK's postcode checker.
It was not feasible to give the tuning data on individual channel pages because it was different at each of the 81 main pre-switchover transmitter sites. After switchover it will be over 1000 sites, because BBC channels are broadcast from all the relays.
For The Wrekin, Bromsgrove and Lark Stoke, the BBC A multiplex is on C26. Sutton Coldfield has not yet switched and Mux 1 is on C41.
And you don't have to request it - an automatic retune should pick up the channel from somewhere, although some boxes just store the first version they find rather than the strongest version. (RG47SH) HELP! I cannot get BBC 3 and BBC or 4 from the white hawk digital transmitter on any of my digital televisions' my postal code is BN18HX, is there a problem with transmitter?
