Someone with digital TV with manual tuning with film four could provide serv no.

fionaFiona: these numbers are not published because they are internal to the broadcasters, and can change dynamically. A

I am tuned to Bedmond (Hemel Hempstead). Reception on 826 MHz has just recently become very poor. Sometimes the tuner cannot detect programmes on that frequency at all. Has something changed at Bedmond?
I am using a WinTV-NOVA-T PCI card from Hauppauge which is working fine on all other frequencies.

Hi Briantist
I have checked for potential sources of local RFI, and have re-routed aerial cable, but problem persists. The signal quality is indicated by (up to) 14 bars. All other Freeview frequencies are at 14 and rock-steady. C65 constantly varies between 0 and 14. It can hold 14 for 10-15 seconds and then drop to 0 for 2-3 minutes. I have tried full power-down resets, and re-tuning from 0 stations, but no good. It is very specific to the frequency. Can't see any sources of interference. I am 2 miles from the transmitter. Any ideas???D

Every channel has good signal (I live in Midhurst) apart from Setanta sports comes up with a blank black screen. It has worked previously. Any thoughts? Or anyone else having the same problem? It;'s very frustrating, I've tried all Setanta have told me to try.K

Walsall I have recently bought a TV with Freeview built in, when I press 'Autotune' it goes through the process and displays the picture of the first station stored. It has been showing Channel 9 -BBC 4. For some reason I can get all the Freeview channels but NOT the 5 terrestrial channels. Can anybody tell me how to get BBc 1,2 ITV1 Channel 4 & 5 all on digital TV. ThanksR

Reading Kelly Ibbotson: Please see Digital Region Overlap for ideas.
One approach is to delete all channels or do a full reset, then cancel the automatic retune. Then manually tune the correct frequencies. For the Winter Hill transmitter, use C62, C59, C58, C61, C55 and C54.
There will be another retune some time in the next year or so to free up C61 and C62. No date is yet set.
If you find it gets reset back again, check your TV's manual to see if it has an automatic background retune feature, and see if you can turn it off.S

If this repeatedly happens it could suggest that there is possibly a fault in the memory store system in the equipment you are using, that is taking it that whatever it is automatically stores the channels shown after a scan, as some doesn't and you have to select "store".
Maybe you could mention what device you are referring to. S

Glasgow scott drysdale: after stage two all working, no further retune required, thanks to all who posted comments.

hello i live in London, i tried to reset my channels because i don't have channel 4 or the e4 channels, could someone tell me how to do it please sam.Hard to say without a full postcode. Also you did not specify whether yer Freeview TV or set-top box requires resetting.Complete a full reset by firstly plugging out yer Freeview TV or set-top box from the mains, then unplug yer aerial from either the Freeview TV or set-top box you plan to reset, wait roughly 30 seconds, replug either Freeview TV or set-top box back in,then with yer aerial still unplugged (do not plug in at this stage or your reset will fail and you will have to reset again) perform a First time installation (automatic scan) ,it will completely fail to store any channels but simultaneously clears the previous memory by resetting yer Freeview TV or set-top box back to its default factory settings, then reinsert yer aerial back into either yer Freeview TV or set-top box and perform a complete scan (either automatic or manual ) once again which hopefully this time will store yer channels.Just out of interest is your aerial horizontally polarised facing Crystal Palace mounted outside and importantly if within a poor reception or marginal area within this transmitter itself is it a group A aerial you are using and not an inferior group W wideband aerial,as in rare cases a cheap inferior contract group W wideband aerial may not pick up the lowest frequencies (ch's 21-25 being worst offenders),and even possibly ommitting the highest frequencies too (ch's 65-68 (or 69) also worst offenders here too). What you described about not receiving Channel4,E4,etc, you are missing the multiplex 2 set from Crystal Palace transmitter which is broadcasting on frequency 22 on the digital platform. If your aerial is an inferior group W wideband in a poor reception or marginal area within Crystal Palace transmitting area itself, then replace it with a group A Yagi 18A external aerial using superior quality satellite grade black or brown coloured co-ax cable, and importantly using a brass co-ax aerial plug, not alloy or worse plastic plugs they're useless ! HELP! If my tv doesn't have a set top box how do I tune in channels? I only had 4 channels before the 18th and was fine with that but now I have none. Do I have to have a set top box to have tv channels?
P.s. Post code hp51peLucy: Assuming that the four channels were BBC One, BBC Two, ITV and Channel 4, then these were probably the analogue ones, in which case analogue has been switched off now, so your TV will need a separate set-top box to receive TV channels. Lucy: If your TV has a scart socket, then all set-top boxes will work. If it doesn't, then you will need one with an in-built modulator which outputs the box's picture in analogue form (the same type as has just been switched off).
One example of a box with a modulator in is this one:
http://www.comet.co.uk/p/…8737
As I say, if your TV has a scart, then you are free to choose any Freeview set-top box.
