vanessa: If you are receiving BBC channels on C49 you are tuned to a signal from the Waltham transmitter. The correct frequency for Sandy Heath is C27. If you are not finding any channels on C27 check that your tv or Freeview box is not on the list of equipment that does not support the 8k mode. If it is you will need to obtain a suitable Freeview box to continue viewing after switchover. If your receiver is suitable it may be that the signal from Sandy Heath is too strong.In that case any amplifier would need removing or an attenuator required to reduce the signal strength. Have you tried to do a manual tune to C27? What is the signal strength and quality reading if a signal is found?B AmburyMonday 11 April 2011 6:22PM

Troon since the switchover in Troon (KA10 7DW) I get all the channels that is available on my TV downstairs (built-in digi tuner) but my set upstairs which is HD ready does not get BBC HD, STV HD etc,but is getting the other digital channels strongly.
Is it cabling etc as both use the same aerial on the roof pointed towards TROON relay?Mike InclesMonday 11 July 2011 9:30PM
Receiving BBC1 East Midlands on Channel 49 no problem until about 10 days ago. Now nothing. Re-tuning doesn't help, manual or otherwise. Am in Corby, Northants and very high. Can pull Belmont BBC 1 Yorks and BBC 1 East perfectly.

Mike Incles: Check for single frequency interference on C49. You mention that you are high up, I wonder if you are receiving a signal from Sudbury which changed the frequency of the SDN mux to C49 on 6th July 2011.What is your postcode?- so a check can be made on the trade predictor of what you are expected to be able to receive at your location.Mike DimmickTuesday 12 July 2011 12:41PM
KMJ,Derby: It appears that the Sudbury transmission on C49 was restricted to the west to protect Oxford C5, and that this may have been done by transmitting out-of-phase signals from the lower aerial panels on the west side of the 'digital' mast in addition to the main signals from the top of that mast.
There was no restriction on Mux A before switchover, so it's possible that the out-of-phase signals providing the restriction are no longer transmitted - if that's how it was done.

Mike Dimmick: It would be very interesting to see the radiation patterns for Sudbury, which due to a shortage of frequencies together with a need to deliver a signal strong enough to give reasonable coverage in the face of possible interference from the continent has led to more complicated arrangements for serving the area than would normally be necessary. It would not be surprising if any restriction to protect C5 from Oxford has been lifted with the Oxford switchover only a few weeks away. KTbirdMonday 18 July 2011 7:25PM
I live in London NW5 and cannot get the channels on multiplex 2 ITV1, More4 etc. I believe I had these channels until the other day.
I have done a complete retune but to no avail.

Corby KMJ Derby. Thanks for the info. My postcode is NN17 2LQ. Everything else comes in "to perfection" ( as did C49 carrying BBC 1 East Midlands till around the 6th July ). Inverness Is there any known reason why Ch 50 (706mhz)programmes on the Fortrose & Rosemarkie transmitter are running with such a poor signal quality & error rate? All other channels from the same transmitter are sitting @ 100% quality signal, but 706mhz channels are unwatchable due to poor signal quality. Since I re-tuned for the Olympics I lose BBC1 & BBC2 when I switch off. If I re-tune again they come back until I switch off, then they are lost again.
