Why are some programmes on channel 4 not shown in Ireland? Recent example The Sopranos. Also I cant understand why Sky cannot make Channel Five available to Irish viewers. We pay more for Sky than our British counterparts. And why not list ITV (UTV) in the main listings? Its a real bum deal. Talk about second class citizens!!

I'm trying to manually locate cbbc and cbeebees on my sky decoder - we used to have them on 'other channels' - but they disappeared...
Can anyone help me with information ?

Also, will sky Freeview card work in ROI? Is it worthwhile buying one ?

Need a Freesat Sky card. It's a one off fee of £20 (€30) and it unlocks Five, Five US, Five US+1, Five Life, Five Life +1 and the UK feeds of Channel 4 and Channel 4+1. It needs to be bought in the UK though.

Put two fingers up at those who want to restrict Irish Sky viewers and get a UK card. Google is your friend and the Daily Mail mentality is your enemy.
Briantist
Sunday 20 July 2008 9:43AM
robbie: I know that five has promised to get on Freesat as soon as they can.
Briantist
Sunday 20 July 2008 10:13AM
Jolly Roger: If you have a fSfS (or expired subscription card) from Northern Ireland, you get these channels decoded, but as they are not free-to-air you can't do a 'manual tune' to get them.

ukfrustrated: 4Music, forermly "The Hits" is part of another Sky package, you will need to add it to your "Mix". www.ukfree.tv link icon The Hits becomes 4Music but not on Freesat | ukfree.tv - independent digital television and switchover advice, since 2002

You can also use the same menu entry as above but use the secret sky engineers menu. services 4 0 1 select - 10714H - 20000 - 5/6 Which will get you the strongest channel 4 signal. I got all this and tons more high output frequencies from a book at www.Freesabox.net nice thing is, NO SKYCARD IS NEEDED to put the info in a skybox or a freesatbox
