Francesco: From your description, as long as you point your dish at the correct satellites you shouldn't have any problems.

Lesley: You might need two boxes and suitable cables to a quad-LNB to get the channels you want reliably.

james: The best satellite to receive free-to-air Italian channels are the Hotbird group 6, 7a and 8 at 13 degrees East. Unfortunately all the quality channels are encrypted in Videoguard. (map)

Hi there,
I have a valid subscription for Italian Sky and I used to get it connected to Polish Polsat (in my flat in London E6) dish pointing in some direction - I do not know which satelite, but Italian Sky was working perfectly on that.
Now I moved (SE8, London) and need to set up the dish. Do you know in what directions I need to point it at? Which satelite forwards Italian sky?

Angelo: You need a "generic" receiver, or at least a Freesat one that can switch to "generic" mode. You will probably need a one meter dish and you also need to align it to the correct satellites, which you may or may not find straightforward.

I receive free, via a satellite dish, RAI and MEDIASET TV programmes. It is 3 weeks now that Canale 5 is scrambled. Also, Sicilia Channel (on Telespazio) has disappeared.

Is there anything I can do to get these two channels back?

Many thanks

Luigi

You may have answered this already but.... If I want to keep the current set of channels broadcast by the Astra satelite and want to add some Italian channels like Rai must I have a second dish?
