I have split the signal from my satellite dish and now nothing works.
It is not possible to split the signal from a satellite dish.
If you want more than one signal from the dish, you must connect a quad-LNB and feed a signal from it to each dish

Since tv went totally digital we now can't get sky on the bedroom tv s? It worked ok before. We have now bought two toshiba TV s to replace the other ones these TV s have free veiw built in and we still can't get sky through our system?
Can you please help?
ThanksSteven Wilson : You will need to use the analogue tuners within the TVs, if they have one. If not, then you won't get it to work as it did before.
Knowledge of the model number(s) would allow checking of specification(s) to see if they have analogue tuners in. T

Our block of flats satalite system has been upgraded to a two way system that allows Sky+ HD to work without our private dishes. They have since ordered us to remove our dishes and install a splitter face plate to allow us to continue to use our Sky box. What type of splitter do I need?A

I have a single coax cable going into one bedroom from a quad lnb but wish to put my old sky+ box in the bedroom so I can record and pause programs in there to. is it possible to join a twin cable to the single for it to work so I don't have to totally rewire or will I have to rewire to the dish with twin cable?J

alan: Feeds from a satellite dish cannot be altered in any way as the box sends instructions to the dish, and so you have no other option than having to run another cable from the LNB to the bedroom.
I take it that you do realise that you cannot use a Sky+ box without a subscription? and even if you have one the card issued can only be used in the box being used at the time the subscription was taken out, as you cannot interchange them. J

alan: Just noticed that you had mentioned twin cable, yes its best to run a length of shotgun type cable rather than running another single.D

I have set up a freeview receiver to my dish here in the UK with my UK postcode etc, will I receive the same services if I take it to southern Spain and connect it to a suitable communial dish with my neighbour in Spain?
