Julie G: I had a quick look on the Digital Stream website <img src="data:image/png;base64,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" class="xico" style="vertical-align:text-bottom" alt="www.dstreamtech.com link icon" link iconDigital Stream , and there didn't seem to be any mention of it being smart at all. Yes, there is an ethernet port, and a description from the Amazon website that it means 'so you can connect to the Internet' but no sign that it will go online (unlike a Humax). We stopped selling that model at least a year ago, decent reviews, but no user friendly. Try a google search , but I think it wont do it.

If you want Netflix via your TV, a cheap blu-ray player will allow to do that - the Sony 3100 <img src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAABAAAAAQCAYAAAAf8/9hAAAA1ElEQVQ4y2P4jwZ+/vr5/9nbZ3D+nWd3/uMDDOgC339+/y+RavX/6qMb///////fpT7s/7azB3AawMSABbz+/Ilh0aHNDAwMDAyvPn9iWH9qFwMuwIRL4t+/fwzEACYGCsGoAVQwgIUYRZvPHWDQL/aE83dUz2OQFJIkzgVOWqYM5kpaDIqiMnBct7wHtwu+fP8CkWCGSPUnNxHnhT9//zBsPLmNYdHhLQwMDAwMztpGpAUiCzMLw9svnxi2XjjOkObgw2CvY0NcKKLnrufvnv8nBQAAmKHh8ugfYksAAAAASUVORK5CYII=" class="xico" style="vertical-align:text-bottom" alt="www.johnlewis.com link icon" link iconBuy Sony BDP-S3100 Smart Blu-ray Disc/DVD Player online at John Lewis has wifi built in (so no need for the netgear adapter) for less than £80. A samsung 2D non wifi one (but you can use the netgear in theory) is around for less than £50.

Alternatives are Apple TV (best if you've got an Ipad) or Roku (if your Android) - both will have Netflix in them anyway. <img src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAABAAAAAQAgMAAABinRfyAAAADFBMVEUAAADEwsSEgoQEAgTOfQQXAAAAAXRSTlMAQObYZgAAAEZJREFUCNdjYIAD9v9PGBjY//9lYGH4epqBkf2lPyMTA4MDAwP71/0QCSYGht8MTAyfWRmYGP4xMTCyv+1mZGD/oH8BYQgAzRQRY31lRHUAAAAASUVORK5CYII=" class="xico" style="vertical-align:text-bottom" alt="www.roku.com link icon" link iconUK - What is Roku | Roku Streaming Player - just buy one. - £50 for Roku, or Chromecast for less.
