Well at least I will be able to listen to DAB whilst walking on the footpath I designed near THE FISH @ HOLLINGWORTH LAKE. When did you say the Manifold Valley Transmitter is coming into service (near Wetton & Wetton Mill) Brian ?

Sounds strange all very secretive stuff then!!

Could you recommend a good DAB radio with an external aerial socket? I want to be able to plug in a 3 element aerial vertical polarised in my loft space for improved reception.

Try this one I have one and I am well pleased with it . I bought it to use in a milking parlour and connected 2 computer speakers to it so it stays in a dry place. I thought I would need an external aerial so this is why I bought it but it turned out I did not

Tongue in cheek Brian re WETTON, they will never build one too few people I am afraid. I will miss radio there however, as it is my get away from the rat race location and where I like listening to FM radio plays and Mr Wight in the afternoon. Nice cafe too at Wetton Mill.

Nedbod: There will be services in all areas that are covered by the AM/FM network, as has been pointed out before, it is quite possible to use very small stations to do fill in the last areas.

Brian - not NHT - I've just heard from a very good source that Tiverton has come online. I have the ERP somewhere here. Probably from the same mast which the NOW Exeter DAB is broadcast from.

Possible yes but can you honestly see the BBC shelling out for a DAB transmitter that covers populations of less than 50 ? I can't.

Pete: The commitment is to have the same coverage as AM/FM, so yes.

Sam:- I think most of the PURE range have a detatchable telescopic aerial,to allow you to connect an external aerial.Mine certainly does.!
