I have a Ferguson F1901LVD TV with no manual.
Am trying unsuccessfully to retune. Managed this 2 weeks ago but all I can receive is BBC1 and 2. Channel3 says there is no signal as do all the others. BBC 1 and are better than 90%.
We have other tv in the home retuned and working perfectly so ariel is good.
Help please!

Tony Lewis: I situations such as this it is very helpful to know your location and what transmitter you are using. If you don't know which transmitter, then a location and direction of the aerial should allow it to be deduced.

I plan to use my ALBA LCDW16HDF TV in my camper van.Can't find instructions (which were very weak anyway). How do I re-tune whenever I arrive in a different region ?

Hi, I'm trying to track down a user manual for Toshiba HDD/DVD Recorder RD-85DTSB for re-tune instructions, the only PDF I have found has pages 75 onwards missing. Can you help?

Carol Richardson: It seems the manual download comes in 2 parts and there is also an Installation Guide and a Quick reference Guide & all are available form Toshiba's website here ftp://195.35.123.32/CCFTP/Manuals/DVD/RECORDER/RD85DT/

Carol Richardson: Hmmm, going direct to that link that I've posted, the site asks for a username and password. So go to Toshiba Leading Innovation. European Distributor Consumer Products
Click on the area on the RHS where it says "Please note if you cannot locate your player it may be a pre-2008 model. Please click here for our old site."
Then click DVD in the Name list. On the next page click RECORDER at the bottom of the list, then click RD85DT and all four documents are listed which you can then download!

Digifusion DV3 FRT100 query


I have a Digifusion DV3 FRT100 (model NR FRT100).
Looking at the list of devices in the section, "TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode", it lists FRT100*" 
Underneath it states "All these sets can be upgraded - contact the supplier (numbers below) to add a Freeview box to the set. "

Does this mean it will not work with the digital switchover ?

Muhammed Islam: "If" it won't support 8k mode, then it won't work after switchover as signals use 8k mode after switchover and 2k mode before.

However, you're referring to this page:

A number of devices have asterisks by them, but it doesn't say what these mean. I wonder if the statement "All these sets can be upgraded …" is the meaning of an asterisk else that would mean that it applies to all the models which I would be surprised about.

Briantist [site owner and author of that page], can you shed any light on the possible upgrade of this model, or is it consigned to the tip?

Dave Lindsay: the "upgrade" symbol means you can add a Freeview box to the TV set.

One website mentioned the FRT100 will not work after "digital switchover" http://www.radioandtelly.…ml 

I bought this FRT100 from a Cancer Research shop for £5 (no remote control) and have been looking for a universal remote controller. The radioandtelly website above saves me time looking for both its controller and if it can now work. 

Shame that certain 3vu boxes are not designed for the digital switchover and the paying public (ie us) have to spend more....

What do the asterisks by some model numbers listed on that page signify?

Muhammed Islam: And just as further confirmation regarding the issue of the FRT100, DUK has this model listed (along with many others) as being a 2k only device and as such not upgradable.

250 GB Freeview Recorder, But unfortunatley NO instructions. Would really appreciate to have help to source a set/pack.

Dennis: This top up TV box is known under a variety of brand names and if you click on the first of the two undermentioned links at the bottom of the listings shown you will see :T845 - all TUTV boxes, click to download the instruction manual which covers all brand names associated with this chassis.

Ray: I have a Samsung TV Model LE27T618x/xeu Which has Dvi connection and a Sharp HDMI freeview box Tu-T2. I have connected the hdmi cable via a connector to the Dvi socket on the tv set and I have a brilliant clear picture but no sound. I know that the dvi only carries video , could you please help me with regards to what cable I need for the sound. and if it is possible to get amanual for this particular TV.

Hoping you can help. Since I tried to re-tune all 3 Freeview TV's in my house, since 27 March, unable to get any BBC channels - everything was fine before the re-tune and have re-tuned several times before with success, but not now - any advice welcomed

les thompson: Judging by the Digital UK Coverage Checker and the Streetview photos, your aerial is served by the transmitters of Winter Hill and Skipton.

There are a number of houses on your road with an aerial on each transmitter. If yours is one of those and the aerials are combined into one feed (one cable) then you may find that you are now unable to view BBC services from Winter Hill (which carries BBC One North West), but you should be able to receive BBC One Yorkshire from Skipton.

The "aerial" should be "area".

If you have two aerials combined then I can explain why.
