Littleborough Hi
I have a freeview tv and separate digital recorder. Since the April retune, the recorder is working fine, but I have had problems with the tv. At first I could only pick up BBC Wales. I have retuned again and managed to get rid of BBC Wales, but BBC1 & 2 are now pixelated. Can't seem to resolve this & can't find any reference to it anywhere. Any suggestions please?
Thanks, SueSue: You are only a few hundreds of metres from the Littleborough relay transmitter, which on the tower further up your road.
I would suggest that your TV may have decided to use the BBC signal from it rather than from Winter Hill. The signal strength screen usually gives an indication as to which UHF channel (equivalent to frequency) it is tuned to. Do this for BBC One. Littleborough broadcasts on C27 and Winter Hill is on C50.
Because Littleborough's channels are all low (low frequencies) and Winter Hill's are high ones, during the scan, have the aerial out for the first 50% of the scan. This should also miss out BBC Wales and ITV Wales from the Moel-y-Parc transmitter, which is what you were getting.
Try it and let me know how you get on. If there are any other issues I may be able to suggest something. M

Brighton My Freeview will not pick up any BBC channels since May 8.(1,2,3,4, News or Parliament). My postcode is BN2 1JSMaurice: As you live in a block of flats, it may be the case that you are using a communal aerial system. If so then see if any of your neighbours have lost BBC services on Freeview.
Be aware that those receiving via satellite (Sky, Freesat etc) will not be affected, so try and ascertain that any who are not affected are actually using the terrestrial aerial system (Freeview). M

No one else have this problem in the block of flats i live in. It is quite annoying.. My post code is m30 0as. Also, i have built in freeview in my tv, if that makes any difference. Glasgow Glasgow G74 here, and am also having problems picking up BBC programmes on Freeview. Is this due to the recent retune?

I've found I can't pick up any BBC channels at all either. My postcode is TQ2.
Been like it since 10 June (possibly earlier). All of the other channels are there as before. I have a TVONICS TVR Freeview box, and a Samsung TV with its own built in Freeview functionality and both are having the same problem.J

my freeview box does,nt give me any picture, if i unplug it and the aerial i get a good picture from my tv, so i presume my tv has freeview in it, but i wanted to beable to record one side and watch the other, how can i do this, my tv has no recording facility and if i plug freeview box in, i don,t get a good signal?J

julie: Are you really referring to a Freeview PVR? that being a Freeview box most of being with twin tuners that can record one channel whilst recording another.
Because if you? are then the aerial goes straight into the PVR and with the RF output from same being linked into the TV's aerial socket, a scart cable connecting the PVR into the TV, and although on most TV's switching the box on causes the TV to switch over to the PVR, in some cases you have to press the AV button on the TV's remote control to access it.
What model of PVR are you referring to? that is "if" you are!
