Regional content: National channel with no regional content or variations.

From Wikipedia: Lasting 14 seasons and 430 episodes, it ranks as the second longest running western series behind Gunsmoke and still continues to air in syndication, The show centers around the Cartwright family, who live in the area near Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Bonanza was considered an atypical western for its time, as the core of the storylines dealt less about the range but more with Ben and his three dissimilar sons, how they cared for one another, their neighbors, and just causes. Bonanza was a period drama that attempted to confront contemporary social issues. - link icon read more about Bonanza Bonanza on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

What a pity Bonanza - Bonanza though improved technically (aspect ratio) is not including the odd British TV/ Movie classics - it could take a leaf out of the original 'Bravo' channels book . The bosses at the station should ask why the demand for DVDs of old b/w movies and British TV (BBC and ITV) is growing as the population gets older - theres a whole massive over 50 aged audience out here - pre 'Styes In Their Eyes' 'Big (uhk!) Brother' and ' Sickly Come Dancing' and modern drama has too often compulsory f words neither 'Duke' John Wayne or Sir John Mills would use infront of a camera . God bless Clayton More and Jack Webb but what about Peter Brady - 'The Invisible Man' , 'The Four Just Men' series , 'Dial 999' starring Robert Beatty etc. Please, if anyones reading from Canis Television and Media , and we know they do - please lets have some 'home grown' as well as US stuff.
P.S. Pity you don't allow the odd photo on UK FREE-TV .

channel/BONANZA">Bonanza Bonanza is a good channel but could become a great channel if only they would stop repeating content,as by doing so may turn people away from the channel. I agree with Rog Parsons, lets have more of the old TV, with less violence and F words.B.B.has an audience out there, waiting for this channel to bring some normality ,some good old fashioned entertainment back to our TV screens . J Theabald: That would mean the channel had to spend some money! Perish the thought.

The way forward for this channel is backwards, see "tv land" in the U.S or how Bravo used to be.
Recently i was in Oz and on a retro channel there they aired Gideons way and half hour Dangerman episodes, i know the big problems are copyright but efforts have to be made.
Recently a rival station here in the U.K. aired b/w episodes of The Avengers at peak time 5 nights a week and it was pure pleasure.
Perhaps a liason with dvd distributor Network could be a way forward?
I'm sure a market exists for a nostalgic/archive style of broadcasting here in the U.K

hello my name is john murphy from timeless television the company responsible for much of the new content on channel/BONANZA">Bonanza Bonanza . we have plans to add more new shows on the channel over the coming months as well as a host of movies. i understand peoples frustration about the lack of british shows, but it is a matter of cost. if viewing numbers continue to grow as they have over recent weeks our budget will grow with it and then we will look at it again. if you good people spread the word and let people know about the channel we can continue to improve our service.
