Freeview multiplex allocations

The Freeview transmissions are carried on six 'multiplexes' - each one a single transmission that carries five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and electronic programme guide information. These are shown below.

In Wales, the addition of S4C displaces E4 from D3+4.



The total width of the after switchover diagrams indicates 40Mbps on BBCB from the extra capacity from DVB-T2 mode, with D3+4 and BBC being 24.1Mbps and SDN, ARQ and ARB being 27.1Mb/s. For clarity radio and text services are not shown.
